Cattunari di Valle is located just 2.5 kilometers from the center of Brtonigla. If you are looking for the true heart of Istria, you will find it in this picturesque village. Perched on a gentle hilltop, this village is a hidden gem that feels like a scene from a romantic movie.
One of the most unique things about Brtonigla is its location. It is famously known as the place of “four soils,” because all four types of Istrian earth (red, black, grey, and white) meet right here. Consequently, this makes the area a paradise for wine and olive oil lovers. In the village of Brtonigla you will find everything you need; a bakery for fresh bread and croissants in the morning, a butcher for good BBQ meat, local restaurants for delicious and affordable food, several coffee bars for a good cappuccino and a small supermarket.
